Dr Catherine Dimitriadou together with Ms Agapi Vrantsi, teacher and PhD candidate from the Department of Primary Education, Florina School of Education, University of Western Macedonia are undertaking groundbreaking research on:
"Developing the resilience of students in times of economic crisis: Teaching Interventions in primary school."
Results from the pilot phase of this study have been published in a 2014 edition of a Greek scientific journal and a number of conference presentations have also been made on the research. On Tuesday 10 January 2017, Dr Dimitriadou and Ms Vrantsi presented their key findings to our MGTAV members. This visit offered an ideal opportunity to connect with the Greek diaspora in Victoria and to engage with individuals and professionals in primary based education.
