Connecting Learning to Work Project

The MGTAV took part in the Victorian Department of Education's 'Connecting Learning to Work' project. Through this project, the MGTAV received funding to create resources for students in Years10 to 12, that help connect language learning to careers and the world of work. The MGTAV has created a series of resources that can be utilised by teachers of Greek across the state to encourage students to continue their study of Greek and highlight the value of skills in a second language in a diverse range of career choices.

Resources:
  • a series of short digital case studies, showcasing members of the community who have been able to form a career pathway through their study of Greek or who have been able to utilise their knowledge of Greek as part of their work, and,
  • an eBook resource, outlining all possible career pathways involving Greek.

These resources will help guide students to connect their study of Greek at school to potential career pathways in the future and help encourage them to continue their study of Greek at high school and beyond.
